  • US Chess Rating: Unrated-299
    A beginner chess camp is designed for players who are new to the game or have limited experience. The camp focuses on teaching the fundamental rules, piece movements, and basic strategies, such as controlling the center and piece development. Players will learn how to checkmate, avoid common mistakes, and understand basic tactics like forks and pins.

  • US Chess Rating: 300-599
    An intermediate chess camp is designed for players who already have a basic understanding of the game and are looking to improve their skills. The camp focuses on enhancing strategic thinking, studying common openings, and mastering tactics such as skewers, discovered attacks, and tactical motifs.

  • US Chess Rating: 600-999
    In our Advanced Chess Camp, kids who have participated in tournaments and have a US Chess rating of 600 or higher will further develop their skills with a focus on advanced tactics and strategies.

  • US Chess Rating: 1000+
    Our Expert Camps are for students who actively participate in tournaments and have a US Chess rating above 1000. Students will study variations in openings and endgame strategies appropriate for their rating level.
