Camp Levels

    US Chess Rating: Unrated
    Our Introduction Chess Camp is designed for players who are new to the game. The camp focuses on teaching the fundamental rules and piece movements, as well as checkmate, castling, and basic principles.

    US Chess Rating: 100-499
    Our Fundamentals Chess Camp is designed for players who already have a basic understanding of the game and are looking to improve their skills. The camp focuses on studying common openings and mastering tactics such as skewers, discovered attacks, and tactical motifs.

    US Chess Rating: 500-999
    In our Advanced Chess Camp, kids who have participated in tournaments and have a US Chess rating of 500 or higher will further develop their skills with a focus on advanced tactics and strategies.

  • US Chess Rating: 1000-1499
    With our Expert Chess Camp, competitive students who are active in tournaments and have a US Chess Rating of 1000 or more will critically explore theory and fine tune their approach over the board.

Camp Policies

  • Refund and Registration

    Registration must be completed online prior to the start of the camp week. Full camp refunds are available until Thursday at 11:59 p.m. before the camp week. We reserve the right to dismiss students from camp due to repeated disruptive behavior, and in such cases, refunds will not be issued.

  • Snack Time

    We will have a designated snack period in the middle of the camp sessions for students to enjoy their snacks; we will provide one snack per three-hour camp session. Please inform us during registration if your child has any allergies. Students must eat snacks in a designated snack area— snacks must not be consumed during class or Open Play.
