Playing Up: Allowed for +$10 if the monthly rating is within 150 points

Open | 30% of total Open Section Entries (20% to first, 10% to second)
U1000 | 1st, 2nd, 3rd place trophies

Sections are automatically chosen according to your US Chess monthly rating. Unrated players (or invalid/mistyped US Chess IDs) are automatically entered in the lowest section.

If you have a valid reason to play in a section higher than what the monthly rating would suggest (e.g. a player with a live rating higher than the threshold for the next section, an unrated player who is likely stronger than the lowest section, etc.) then detail this in the signup form.

The final choice of the section is TD discretion.
